This course provides piano teachers with all the necessary knowledge and skills for teaching online private lessons and group classes. This course is organized into five modules, each with approximately two hours of learning content, for a course total of ten hours. The titles, objectives, and learning minutes are listed below for each module. The content is a dynamic variety of short video lectures, articles, tip sheets, video demonstrations, and resource lists.

Sara M. Ernst, PhD, is an active piano pedagogue and pianist, and serves as Associate Professor of Piano and Piano Pedagogy at the University of South Carolina. She is currently the Director of Teacher Engagement for the Frances Clark Center and President of the South Carolina Music Teachers Association. For the Royal Conservatory of Music, she is an active examiner and has contributed to their publications as a reviewer of 2015 Celebration Series and Piano Syllabus, and as an author of pedagogical texts. Prior to her position at UofSC, she worked at the New School for Music Study in New Jersey as the Administrative Director and an instructor of piano lessons and group classes. Dr. Ernst has taught at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan and piano and piano pedagogy at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
